Isn't that like that,... Adventurer of the North title?

Yeah, except quests are not covered by anything. Kinda bothers me, with titles covering so many areas of the game, but with quests being left out.

Well, maybe I'm a bit biased here... I've made the effort of doing all the quests I've found on all my 9 characters, so I seriously doubt the farming and potentially missed ones would amount to more than 5% of the total.

But, as I said, I don't want another title to add to the GWAMM track, even thouigh the last 4 I'm missing are an annoyance. I just want quests, the little bits that give life and lore to an otherwise just combat fileld world, to be recognized, too...

lolz and watch the forums explode from the whining about that :P

I'm interested in seeing what they have planned for this week long celebration. hopefully it's not just a week of afk'ing on 9 rings, playing rollerbeetle (and whining about those better at it than you), etc. hope lots of interesting mini-quest's and things to do.

and yes people, there likely will be yet more mini's for the power traders to drool over and come back and buy up then go afk again.. lolz

An account based present would be appriciated. It would go nice next to my obsession to delete my chars over and over. I just got my second birthday present for the first time with a 59 months old account.

I fail to see the problem.

It would just be a nice thing to show how long you've been playing, as opposed to getting a wrapped little item that has a 90% chance of being relatively worthless.
Again, I fail to see the problem. Some people do, in fact, find minis cute to collect and display. A title is a line of text that you can display in town. You can pick minis that you like out of the however many we have available to us now. You wouldn't be able to pick your title. Really, the only reason that I can see to give us titles over minis is so that you can definitively tell who has been playing the game longer (or, really, who bought the game earlier), to which I must ask....why should anyone care? You should probably respond "no one, it's just for me." Well, if it's just for you, why would you rather have a title below your name than some cool looking mini walking next to you, both in explorable and in towns? If you think minis are boring, wouldn't a title be even more pointless and dull?

It's disturbing how many people see this game as something to obsess about in inhealty ways instead of something to have fun with.

Sure. But it's human nature to sedate yourself with various drugs(cocaine, alcohol, games and religion) to veil yourself from the harsh realities of life.

People are already whining about XYZ profession not being powerful enough, at a time like this. I would much rather hear the whining from pushing the game into a direction of better power moderation.

Why no more titles?

GWAMM easy? It's all relative, compared to finding Bin Laden it's quite easy yes. Compared to just finishing the campaigns and doing some dungeons (which most casual players do) not so much. I would rather say fast/long than easy/hard anyway as titles depend more on the time you spend to get them than on your skills. Hell, you can buy half of them.

If the only reason is that you don't want people to catch up with you, then you need to remember how some things got harder now than they were before due to many nerfs. DTSC for instance isn't what it used to be and it is harder to max Kurzick now than it was before (to be fair though those who maxed it in the very early days had an even harder time since vq didn't give factions and turning for rep didn't give double for title). HFFF made Legendary Survivor longer and/or more expensive from using exp scrolls.

In any case a new title is a new thing to do for those who want to and you can chose to ignore it. New content has often come with new titles so why should it be different this time?

Also, depending on the kind of title it is it may or may not make GWAMM faster to achieve and there is no way for you to know for sure even though you were arrogant enough to claim otherwise. (eg: If it's Sunspear like it will be faster to get than maxing Party Animal, if it's Kurzick like it won't).

A title would be a much better idea (and stop mini's inflating teh economies even moar). As mentioned it's untradeable and such. Problem is,everyone now still assuems titles are everyyyything and actually mean something...news flash 90% of them mean sweat FA. Every title is essentially Time>Skill (even your precious /rank).

It'd be there to be like 'yeah I've been round a while, respect your elders', not 'OMG I'M SO 1337 IT HURTS!!1111'. Grow up.

I don't get why people are anti new mini's/titles.

They don't taint your own play in any way should you choose not to be involved with them. The only arguable way is that they're resources spent places where you didn't want them.

May install again if something funky comes up from this, though the war in kryta doesnt shine much chance of something pvp orientated but we'll see.

I wonder how long it will take for them to run out of mini's to make. Sure, there are quite a few monsters not represented yet, but many monsters share the same skin, or are so close that it won't look any different. I wouldn't be happy to see them start making a Mini Caromi Warrior, Mini Caromi Wild, Mini Caromi Ranger, etc. as though they aren't exactly the same, they are so close it would be stupid to make them all. So how many years worth of mini's will there be before they need to start adding new monsters or give something different? Will the game be around long enough for that to be a problem?

I think people forget sometimes that there is, in fact, a minimum barrier to completion for most gameplay titles that many people struggle with. It's just not true to say that everyone can get Legendary Guardian, for example. PUG a few HM missions if you want proof of this. Titles may not be perfect, but I don't see what could possibly exist in this game that would qualify as a reward for purely skill-based performance, since anything that takes skill also takes a time investment in order to build up the necessary skill to do it the best.

Really, the closest thing we have are the challenge missions, and those really never were very popular. People say they want rewards for skillful play...I'm not so sure most people really do want that. Is it worth pointing out for the umpteenth time that we as players practically begged for titles?

@Magma: That's a really good question. Maybe whenever that day comes we'll get something instead of minis, but I doubt that it's going to happen any time soon.
